Established in the year 1967, Durham college of Applied Arts and Technology is located in Ontario, Canada. It has two main campus locations in Oshawa and Whitby along with a learning site in Pickering. Durham has over 13,600 full-time post- secondary and apprenticeship students. It is also a popular college among international students and presently has more than 2000 students from over 60 countries. The college is known for its wide range of programs offered in a number of disciplines including business, media, information technology, art, general arts, design, science, skilled trades, justice, emergency services, health and engineering technology. With the aim of developing a network infrastructure to support laptop based learning, Durham College has also collaborated with Ontario Tech University.

Admission Requirements
The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to Durham College
- International students are considered on case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
- Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
- Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
- Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
- You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.
Please note:- If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.

On-Campus Housing
- The Simcoe Village and South Village residences offer safe, clean, and comfortable living accommodations for 1,360 students. First-year students are guaranteed a spot in residence if they meet the deadlines for accepting Durham College’s offer of admission and applying to residence.
