Overview
LaSalle College Vancouver (LCV) opened its doors in 1998 as an English as second language school (ESL). In 2002, the school began to focus and expand on design-based programs such in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Artistic Make-up, Interior Design, Jewellery Design, Graphic Design, and 2D/3D Animation as well as on-line training programs in Interior Design, Fashion Marketing, Video Game 3D Modelling, and Administrative Assistant.
On February 1, 2017, LCI Education Network, of which LaSalle College Vancouver(LCV) is a member, acquired The Art Institute of Vancouver an award winning higher education provider offering an array of exciting applied arts programs in diverse fields such as VFX for Film and Television, Video Game Programming, Digital Film & Video, Game Art & Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Fashion, Culinary Arts and just to name a few.
Located in an 80,000-square-foot building in beautiful Vancouver, LCV delivers programs with credentials ranging from Bachelor Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates and has been consistently named the top undergraduate school in Canada for video game design by the Princeton Review.
LaSalle College Vancouver prides itself on small class size, a friendly environment, hands-on delivery, and excellent industry-experienced instructors. The goal of LCV is to provide excellence in knowledge building and skill development and to assist its students in achieving their career goals in a professional, stimulating and friendly environment.
LaSalle College Vancouver is designated by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education of British Columbia and is registered with the Ministry of Advanced Education, Student Services Branch. Government funding is available to full-time students who qualify.
Among the many advantages, students are able to enjoy opportunities to study abroad from one week to one semester at a selection of the network’s campuses, including Montreal, Melbourne, Bogota, Istanbul, Jakarta and Barcelona. LCV is also a member of the LCI Education network composed of 23 campuses on 5 continents.

Admission Requirements
The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to LaSalle College
- International students are considered on case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
- Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
- Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
- Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
- You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.
Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.

- Academic Advising
- Academic advising is provided by Academic Advisors, Faculty, Program Directors, and the Chief Academic Officer. Students have access to advising services throughout their program of study. Advising services may be provided on an individual or small group basis, or even in a workshop setting, to help students manage their academic experience such as course registration, program progression and advice on available academic supports.
- Student Employment Services
- The Student Services Department can assist you in seeking part-time employment while you are a student. Many students find that part-time employment is an excellent way to help meet the financial obligations of a college education and also maintain a flexible schedule that allows for class time and study time.
- LaSalle College Vancouver offers some freelance job opportunities through which qualified students can receive valuable experience while working for local clients.
- International Student Advising
- LaSalle College Vancouver is proud to host students from around the world who have chosen to study here. If you are from another country, you are likely to have concerns about making a successful transition into a new culture. Many of your questions can be answered by the Student Services Department, which is available to help ensure a successful experience at LaSalle College Vancouver by assisting with housing, medical insurance, and campus resources. International students will find opportunities to take part in social activities with other international students and Canadian students as well. - Disabilities Support Services
- LaSalle College Vancouver provides accommodations to qualified students with disabilities. The Office of Disability Support Services assists all qualified students with disabilities in acquiring reasonable and appropriate accommodations and in supporting equal access to services, programs and activities at LaSalle College Vancouver. Students who seek reasonable accommodations should notify their Academic Program Advisor or call the Director of Student Services at 778-373-8980 of their specific limitations and, if known, their specific requested accommodations. Students will be asked to supply medical documentation of the need for accommodation. Classroom accommodations are not retroactive, but are effective only upon the student sharing approved accommodations with the instructor. Therefore, students are encouraged to request accommodations as early as feasible to allow for time to gather necessary documentation. Academic Excellence Award
New students who have achieved academic excellence in their high school coursework or in their last full academic year of post-secondary are eligible to receive scholarships recognizing that work.
