Admission Requirements

The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to the University of Sunderland

• International students are considered on case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
• Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
• Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
• You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.

Please note: If you are not a UK citizen or a permanent resident of UK, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to UK.

  • The Student Financial Guidance team is the university's expert provision of information, guidance, representation and on-going support for students on any aspect of student finance.
  • The service is free, confidential, impartial and non-judgemental - and is available either by individual appointment or on a 'drop-in' basis, as well as by telephone and email.
• Faith Support
  • The Chaplaincy team are here to be a friendly, informal, confidential and independent listening ear for students and a resource for religious, spiritual and ethical exploration.
  • Above all, the Chaplaincy team share with others in the University the concern that this should be a community which values the worth and dignity of each individual, and seeks to offer justice and fairness to all.
