Established in the year 1968, George Brown College has three campuses, St. James, Casa Loma and Waterfront located in one of the most important economic hubs of North America, Toronto.
Fostering an environment of a cross-culture, yet a close-knit community ensures that all the 4000+ international students hailing from 70 different countries, in the pool of the 28,000+ students enrolled in their 150+ full-time courses feel at home and not alienated.
Based in downtown Toronto, the location provides you access to the top employers for amazing job opportunities post the completion of your course. The highly trained and educated staff makes sure to give the students a perfect balance of theory and practical so that the students are market and job ready post their education. Around ninety-five per cent of their programs offer field education either in the way of co-ops, industrial visits or internships.

Admission Requirements
The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to George Brown College
- International students are considered on case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
- Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
- Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
- Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
- You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.
Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.

Accomodation
On-Campus Accommodations: On-Campus residence accommodations are provided by the college administration according to the choice of students and availability of said options.
Off-Campus Accommodations: Students have numerous options of finding accommodation off-campus in nearby areas. Students can have access to studio apartments, paying guest facilities, sharing apartment complexes and many more.
Homestay: Homestays are an integral system of housing for students. Students have the opportunity to avail homestay facilities as per their discretion and choices. Homestay hosts include single people, young couples with children and pets, and older couples. All homestay accommodations have been inspected, and all adults in the home have completed a required criminal reference check.

Scholarships
Scholarships for international students at George Brown College are generally in-program awards based on students’ academic performance (and other criteria) at George Brown College after the beginning of the academic program.
- Only successful applicants will be notified
- Successful scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply again for a second scholarship or bursary
- All award recipients require a valid Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN). Awards are considered part of a student’s taxable income for the year. The College will issue T4A forms to all recipients in the spring of the year following the year in which the award was issued
- Awards are provided for returning students based on the eligibility requirements as outlined below.
