Gain insight into human behavior through technically-based coursework and practical externships in local hospitals, schools, and clinical organizations. Kickstart your career journey into counseling, community service, human resources, and more.
What You’ll Learn
Delve into the human mind through the Psychology, B.S. in small-sized classes on theories of personality, abnormal psychology, and more. New York Tech’s degree offers you plenty of flexibility through electives, and minors, or even prepare for entry into medical school.
You’ll learn from expert faculty with a broad range of professional experience, including social/health, clinical, cognitive, and developmental psychology. You’ll also have the chance to conduct research, presenting your work at regional and national research conferences. Past research has covered topics such as perceptions of body image in college students, social media and anxiety, and how parenting styles affect adolescent delinquency and self-esteem.
You can also make connections and network through our active chapter of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology.
