Build on your talents in applied science, engineering, and technology and kickstart a career designing, building, and refining new applications and systems.
What You’ll Learn
Ideal for problem-solvers, the Electrical & Computer Engineering Technology, B.S. will help you become an inventor and innovator who can design, build, and refine new applications and systems.
You’ll receive a well-rounded education, focused on creative and critical thinking, in both the computer and electrical applications areas. Your courses will span everything from electronics and control systems technology to programming techniques with Java, HTML, and Assembly languages.
You’ll learn how to apply techniques and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve engineering problems and lead a technical team as a strong communicator and project manager. Throughout, you’ll undertake real-world projects and case studies, and gain extensive laboratory practice in circuit design, implementation, testing, and simulation.
You’ll also have the opportunity to work on funded research projects for the Department of Defense, National Science Foundation, among others alongside faculty at New York Tech’s Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC). Many students publish their work in recognized journals as part of the Undergraduate Research & Entrepreneurial Program (UREP).
