Additional information
Graduates from Sheridan’s two-year Architectural Technician program and three-year Architectural Technology program enter the workforce with two powerful competitive advantages:

  • Superior, industry-approved education.
  • A nationally recognized credential.

Employers praise Sheridan Architectural Technology and Architectural Technician graduates because they're so well prepared by their program of study that they're productive on their first day which significantly reduces on-the-job training that may be required.

Our graduates can qualify to become, and legally use the term, "Licensed Architectural Technologists" through fulfilling the requirements of the Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario (AATO). As well, in joining the Technologist arm of the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) upon graduation, the OAAAS, you can enjoy the benefits of what the OAA has to offer, from resources, to access to in-house liability insurance.

Additionally, you can have the opportunity to be examined, and apply for, a Building Code Identification Number (BCIN) in order to apply for building permits on behalf of clients.
